Who we are
About solicitors.je
A free, independent directory of Jersey law firms.
solicitors.je is an independent directory of law firms in Jersey. It lists 46 firms, from sole advocates to the island’s largest practices, and helps people work out where to start when they need a lawyer.
Most people only need a lawyer a handful of times. When that time comes, it is rarely obvious which Jersey firms handle a will dispute, an unfair dismissal claim or a boundary row. We put that information in one place.
We are not a law firm, and we are not affiliated with any firm we list. Any legal work you need is done by the firm you choose, under its own terms, and you pay that firm directly.
What we do
- Keep a directory of Jersey law firms, built from the details each firm publishes itself
- Point you towards firms that list your area of law, when you ask us to
- Explain, in general terms, how different areas of Jersey law and its courts work
- Correct any listing a firm tells us is wrong
What we don’t do
- Give legal advice or act for you
- Charge you for using the site or for an enquiry
- Rank, review or recommend one firm over another
- Handle Legal Aid matters
Where our listing information comes from
An unverified listing contains only what the firm has made public itself: its name, office address and areas of practice, usually taken from its own website. We don’t publish anything about a firm that isn’t already publicly available.
A firm can claim its listing to get a Verified badge and add its own logo, team, services and contact details. Once verified, the firm is responsible for what its listing says.
If anything in the directory is wrong, tell us through the contact form and we’ll correct it.
For law firms
If your firm is listed, you can claim your listing. If it isn’t, you can add your firm.
